LONDON's ONLY - Package of Clinical Skills Course for both medical and non-medical students!
This 3 parts (days) course we aimed at providing a package of clinical practical skills that any health care worker would need. Very basic and essential skills that can help them perform their roles smoothly and professionally. The clinical practical skills are the focus of this course. A short assessment will be done throughout the course and you will be awarded a certificate by the end.You will receive the Certificate of Completion.

The profession in clinical skills is essential for of all health care workers like nurses, health care assistants and doctors. Such skills help you (and the medical team) to provide a high quality, safe and professional health care service to those who need it.

According to the Cavendish review 2013, which is an independent review of healthcare assistants and support workers in NHS and social care, " Staff do not always achieve recognized, transferable skills" and " Training does not always relate to the needs of the patient/service user". These two "challenges" mentioned in the review reflects the problem that the review team found in regard to health care workers skills.
You can now learn a package of skills together in one set instead of having separated courses for each skill which is time and money consuming!
The course contents:

Skill package part 1 (1 day)
This one-day course provides a package of clinical skills essential for of all health care professionals including nurses, health care assistants and doctors. Such skills help you, and your medical team, to provide a high quality, safe and professional health care service to those who need it.
This handout was prepared to provide you with the basic background theoretical and practical information needed to perform the following skills:
(A) Cannulation
- Background
- Indications
- Contraindications
- How to give IV fluids via the cannula.
- Technique
- Practical training.

(B) Vital Signs (background, how to measure and to report)
- Heart rate
- Respiratory rate
- Body temperature
- Blood pressure.
(C) Blood glucose level
- Background on diabetes
- Normal values
- Technique and reporting
Skill package parts 2 (1 day)
These courses provides a package of clinical skills essential for of all health care professionals including nurses, health care assistants and doctors. Such skills help you, and your medical team, to provide a high quality, safe and professional health care service to those who need it.
This handout was prepared to provide you with the basic background theoretical and practical information needed to perform the following skills:
(A) Urethral Catheterization (Part 2 day training)

If you want to make the most of what we provide in term of clinical skills training, we recommend that you take two more courses that we provide to complete your skills panel:

- The Phlebotomy course (We are the biggest training provider in the UK): in which you will learn to be a phlebotomist.

We welcome everyone; doctors, nurses, dentists and prescribing pharmacists onto the course.
We are also one of the only providers of this course to be able to offer the training to non-medical students and everyone wishing to learn the first aid skills.
